Setting Standards or Accepting Standards?

We all have choices every day. How we act, how we interact with others, how we run our businesses, who we choose to do business with, etc. I think the most important choice to make is the standard of professionalism and quality we make for ourselves and our business.

We can either choose to set the standard of excellence or accept the standards set by others around us. If you're leading a team (sales, marketing, technical, etc.) don't let others dictate a standard lower than what you consider acceptable.
